Airlines have adjusted policies and instituted new measures to provide additional layers of protection for passengers and employees, including required face coverings, altered boarding procedures and adjusted food and drink service.
JetBlue has increased its employee mental health services by expanding counseling offerings, holding virtual events focusing on mental health subjects, and partnering with Talkspace to provide mobile therapy sessions. "Given the nature of our business, we have a highly mobile population that requires non-traditional channels for accessing care," said JetBlue executive Harry Spencer.

In a new guidance document issued by the Transportation Security Administration, Administrator David Pekoske looks to advance the agency's technology, which includes allowing for more automation. "As we look towards the future, we recognize the need to accelerate new and innovative screening concepts to create a near-contactless experience at the checkpoint," Administrator Pekoske wrote.
Airlines Reporting Corp. said its accredited travel agencies reported a 69% increase in sales between April and May, indicating the first signs of recovery in travel demand. Domestic trips were up 85% and international trips increased 30% during the period.
Since the start of the coronavirus crisis, Delta Air Lines has donated more than a million pounds of food to food banks, hospitals, schools and other organizations. "Being a part of a company that is helping healthcare workers and so many others in need around the world with food donations is really touching, and I am glad to be a part of it," said Elaine Schlaeger, manager of catering operations.
