To our Borders fam, This year, we wanted to try something different with our fifth season of Vox Borders: exploring the US. Ultimately, though, the coronavirus had other plans. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact, we won't be publishing the next season of Vox Borders. This has been an unprecedented year, and our plans and programming have had to change along with it. We want to thank you for the wealth of story suggestions and your participation in our global network of storytelling for Borders and beyond. Your enthusiasm for international stories means the world to us and has helped shape our coverage over the years — and we are committed to continuing to cover communities and important issues around the globe. What's next? Johnny's been making personal and freelance videos on his own YouTube channel, and you can follow his personal adventures and other independent work there. At Vox, we're still fully committed to reporting on communities and important issues outside the US: - If you care about international stories, then we think you'll love some of the amazing stuff from Vox Atlas, especially our recent reporting on the global coffee crisis.
- And if you care about on-the-ground voices and surprising stories from history, we think you'll also love Missing Chapter. (Which is nominated for an Emmy — fingers crossed!)
In the future, we'll use this email list to let you know about ways to get involved with our reporting, share updates on new Vox video projects, and give you peeks behind the scenes. If you'd prefer to opt out of receiving future emails, you can unsubscribe here. Thank you for everything! —Team Borders |
