Arm currently licenses low-power chip designs to companies like Apple, Samsung, and Qualcomm for use in their mobile devices. Although Arm would continue to be based in the UK, putting it under the control of the US-based Nvidia seems certain to trigger regulatory and even geopolitical objections.
