Good morning, Tribune readers.

Because the COVID-19 pandemic forced changes to yesterday's primary election in Utah, it will take some time to determine an official winner in several races — including GOP contests for governor and in the 1st Congressional District. The results below are based on initial ballot counts from late last night. Be sure to check back to see updated results. 

Salt Lake City's The Grand Theatre has canceled its production of "To Kill a Mockingbird" due to concerns over COVID-19. It was the company's third time trying to put on this show. Maybe the fourth time will be the charm?


Today's going to be a hot one in Salt Lake County, with a high of 90 degrees.

Spencer Cox is narrowly leading Utah governor race

As of 10:30 p.m. last night, Cox had 37% of the votes, followed by Jon Huntsman with 35%. [Read more]

Burgess Owens has been declared the winner in Utah's 4th Congressional District GOP primary.
