Travel recovering already; 700M summer trips expected

Despite a 15% decline in expected summer travel, 700 million trips are expected from July through September this year, AAA reports. Travel agencies accredited by Airlines Reporting Corp. showed a 69% increase in sales between April and May, indicating the first signs of recovery in travel demand, with domestic trips up 85% and international trips up 30%.

Calif.'s Disneyland Resort extends closure indefinitely

Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., will not reopen its hotels and theme parks July 17 as planned and will set a new date when it receives guidance from the state government. The company had been told not to expect reopening guidelines before July 4.

Airlines have adjusted policies and instituted new measures to provide additional layers of protection for passengers and employees, including required face coverings, altered boarding procedures and adjusted food and drink service.

    The Transportation Security Administration has reported six new coronavirus infections among TSA workers at Florida's Orlando International Airport, for a total of 22 TSA cases at the facility. A total of 744 TSA agents have tested positive for the virus.
